abrasiveMedia was founded in 2004 to facilitate the projects and events of a small group of artists. Over the years we’ve added artists and ideas, and are moving into the next phase of our growth. We are located in Nashville, TN, and are actively seeking ways that we can engage our community through art. abrasiveMedia is composed of an artist residency program and a network. Both originate from our belief that for art to change the environment we live in, artists must be willing and able to work together, and we as an artistic community must invest in the place we live.
