Artistic, creative, and culturally-focused organizations are often limited in the actualization of their goals due to lack of money, equipment, personnel, and time.  Though these organizations are working towards similar goals, the singular nature they possess often isolates them from the resources they need to fulfill their purposes. At the very least this problem causes their plans to be downsized; at worst, it causes the eventual end of many of these organizations and the purposes they set out to accomplish.

The abrasiveMedia network is being created to address this problem.  Similar to a trade agreement between countries, each organization brings their resources and skills to the table in order to enter into mutually beneficial relationships.  The network is a medium through which information and resources can flow, increasing the individual potential of each member.  Organizations who offer services to the artistic and cultural community, such as legal aid, accounting, business administration, and funding, are also linked through the network. This is where our collaborative philosophy extends beyond individual artists and into the community at large.

The network will not be limited to organizations.  Individuals who desire to benefit from the network will have the opportunity to become a member.  This will provide them with a greater pool of information, resources, and people who can help them accomplish their purposes.  It also gives member organizations access to individuals who can join with their visions.
